Virtual assessment of Elkhart County police
ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- Elkhart County employees and community members are invited to witness and give comments during a virtual assessment of the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office on August 10 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The assessment is used to evaluate the office’s performance in hopes to receive accreditation within the standards of the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies program.
This program helps sheriff’s offices and police departments understand the level of professional excellence they are achieving under set standards that represent the best practices in law enforcement.
The first two hours of the accreditation assessment will be joined by assessors of the program. The public can join at 1 p.m. by clicking here.
