Visit with the animals at Washington Park Zoo's Wild Winterland event December 3

MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. - The Washington Park Zoo will host its Wild Winterland holiday event on Saturday, featuring treats, gifts, and of course, animals.

The event runs from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for kids ages three to 11, and free for kids under the age of two.

Zoo members also get free access to the event.

In addition to visiting with some of the zoo's animals and keepers, guests can enjoy hot chocolate in the Peacock Café and a photo opportunity with the Grinch from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The Treehouse Giftshop will also be open to shoppers.

Though the African Lions and Bengal Tigers will not be at the event, guests can get a sneak peek at their habitat construction project.

Admission to the event is limited.
