Visit Your Parks Challenge begins in Mishawaka

MISHAWKA, Ind. -- The Mishawaka Parks and Recreational Department is holding the Visit Your Parks Challenge, which highlights a different area park each week, starting Monday.

For the challenge, participators must visit the Park of the Week, take a selfie while enjoying the area, and post the picture to social media while tagging @MishawakaParks.

Each week that a challenge is completed, park-goers can visit the Battell Community Center in Mishawaka to receive a park-specific sticker confirming that they visited.

Participator’s can go at their own pace, as each park’s sticker will be available even after it’s no longer the Park of the Week.

The first Park of the Week spotlight is on the Shiojiri Niwa Japanese Garden, located at 1000 East Mishawaka Avenue.
