SOUTH BEND, Ind.---
Mothers who are spending the holiday this year at the Beacon's Childrens Hospital were praised with mocktails, brunch for dinner, pamper gift sets, and a beautiful wall of flowers.
All thanks to the help of a special group of volunteers, many who are mothers themselves, including Kellie Montgomery the RMHC Michiana Director of Operations and some of the women of 100 Women who Care Michiana.
"so not everyone's mother's day looks the same, some moms are unfortunately spending it here in the hospital either waiting to deliver a new baby, or has a new baby in the NICU, or maybe has a child in pediatrics, so we want to make that day as special as we can for those mothers that can't be home, so were doing a mother's day here at the house," said Montgomery.
Both organizations are always in search of volunteers.
