Volunteers, neighbors "rebuild together"

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Break out the hammer and paintbrushes!
Dozens of volunteers turned out Saturday to help neighbors with some spring touch-ups.
It's all part of the "Rebuilding Together" program. Folks came out to help fix 18 homes in the River Park neighborhood. The homes belong to disabled and elderly families who needed a helping hand around the house. Homeowners told ABC 57 they're thankful for the help.
"I feel humble and grateful; they did a great job," homeowner Richard Wallace said. "All of the volunteers helped the whole time."
The event was the second of two Saturdays this month for the annual volunteer event.
