Wakarusa Maple Syrup Festival dates have been announced

WAKARUSA, Ind. -- Wakarusa is excited to announce they will be holding the 2021 Wakarusa Maple Syrup Festival in downtown Wakarusa this April.

Over the past few months, the Wakarusa Maple Syrup Festival Committee has been meeting to evaluate how they can most efficiently and safely proceed with the festival this year.

The committee has worked closely with the Elkhart County Health Department to put a plan in place which will allow the festival to be held on April 23rd, 24th and 25th.

It will be special for Wakarusa as this festival is one of the first local events to be held in over a year.

This year’s festival will be reduced in scale and not include some popular events and attractions in order to maintain safe and a socially distant festival.

The committee still intends to offer festival food, craft vendors, free entertainment and locally made, fresh maple syrup.

COVID-19 safety regulations will be implemented and followed as required by the Elkhart County Health Department.
