Wakarusa's Pumpkin Tree is back for this year's annual Harvest Fest. The 17-foot tall tree is made up of over 200 pumpkins and is in the middle of downtown.
“It’s just something for a quaint little town to celebrate fall with,” said Deb Shively with the Wakarusa Chamber of Commerce.
The chamber will host the Wakarusa Fall Party on Saturday October 29. There will be a costume contest from 3 - 4 p.m., cake walk from 4 - 5 p.m., followed by citywide trick or treating.
The Historical Museum will host a Haunted Museum Friday and Saturday from 7 - 9 p.m.
