Walkerton man accused of embezzling from local library

WALKERTON, Ind.-- The treasurer and interim director of the Walkerton-Lincoln Township Public Library is accused of embezzling nearly $100,000 in a state audit.

Scott Klingerman is accused of using that money at bars, health clubs, even at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina.

The audit says he made more than $23,000 in ATM withdrawals on the library's debit card.

He is also accused of writing checks to himself and to "cash."

We reached out to Klingerman via email and Twitter but he did not get back to us.

The FBI says this is still an ongoing investigation but Klingerman must pay back the $96,000 in full.
