WALKERTON, Ind.----
Almost all the winners are in after Tuesday's Primary election except for one with a rare outcome.
The Walkerton Town Council 4th ward spot is still up in the air after a tie.
The two Republican Candidates, Kyle Norris and Bryan Vandall both finishing with 55 votes.
ABC57 has not heard back from Vandall after multiple requests for comment, but Norris told us he was shocked by the outcome.
"seeing the tie its very surreal, at first it was exciting, and then its kind of like well now,
Just a lot of questions about where do we go from here," said Norris.
The St. Joesph County Clerk of Circuit Court, Amy Rofles, walked ABC57 through the next steps after reflecting on her first election in her new position,
"for me running a first election, that is super interesting, so but that’s easily resolved, the Indiana elections commission has prepared for that, of course, and so the way the tie will be resolved is by holding a caucus, a republican caucus, down in Walkerton…." she said.
When that Caucus will be is still unknown at this time.
