Warsaw company announces plans to reduce workforce by 300 employees

A Warsaw company has filed a notice with the Indiana Department of Workforce Development that it will be permanently reducing its workforce by approximately 300 employees.

The company, KGP Telecommunications LLC has facilities at 2000 W. Winona Avenue and 3454 N. Detroit Street.

Most of the employees affected work at the Detroit Street facility.

KGP says the lay offs are necessary because there has been a decrease in business.

The company does not know if the Detroit Street location will close or not.

Employees will be let go on April 17, 2019 or within two weeks of that date.

Positions affected include manufacturing, assembly and office personnel.
