Woman speaks out after employee caught recording her in fitting room at Gabe’s in Warsaw

WARSAW, Ind. --  A Warsaw woman is sharing her story after a Gabe’s employee was arrested on charges of trying to secretly record her in a fitting room.

Rosa Malagon tells ABC57 she was shopping for bathing suits with her daughter at the Gabe’s in the Marketplace of Warsaw on June 16 when she noticed a phone pointed up at her from the next stall.

“I couldn’t believe it,” Malagon said. “There was a phone facing up with the camera up”

She ran out for help and saw 21-year-old Rockland Coleman, an employee at the store, leaving the neighboring fitting room over.

“I said, ‘Help, someone is recording me,’ and he said, ‘No I’m not,’” Malagon recalled.

Police seized Coleman’s phone and found 264 files containing child pornography. According to investigators, Coleman told them he downloaded the material via a link on Instagram.

Malagon says she’s speaking out to help protect others. “Imagine if I wouldn’t have spoken up. This man would still be working with a phone in the fitting room and who knows what else he can do.”

Coleman is currently in custody at the Kosciusko County Jail. He faces charges of voyeurism and possession of child pornography and is scheduled to appear in court Thursday.
