Warsaw man in critical condition after being struck by vehicle
ABC 57 WARSAW, Ind. -- The Warsaw Police Department reports a Warsaw man is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle on March 7 around 10:01 p.m. on Fort Wayne Street.
The report states emergency personnel responded to a crash involving a vehicle and pedestrian on Fort Wayne Street just east of Detroit Street.
The preliminary investigation determined 63-year-old David Skerritt of Warsaw was driving on Detroit Street when he turned east onto Fort Wayne Street.
Police say as Skerritt completed his turn, he struck 58-year-old Corey Rodocker, who was walking north across Fort Wayne Street.
Upon arrival, officers began to render aid to Rodocker, who was unconscious.
Rodocker was taken to a Fort Wayne hospital, where he remains in critical condition, authorities say.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office Fatal Team was requested for reconstruction due to incident's severity.
