Water main break reported in Elkhart in Beardsley Avenue area; drivers asked to avoid the area

ELKHART, Ind. -- Crews are on the scene of a water main break in Elkhart.

It happened at the 700 block of East Beardsley Avenue; the road is closed in both directions. A water main break happened in Elkhart closing both sides of the 700 block of East Beardsley Avenue.

City workers are on the scene. There is now estimated timeline for reopening at this time.

Drivers are asked to find alternate routes.
