Watervliet Public Schools investigating incident between teacher and student

WATERVLIET, Mich. – Watervliet Public Schools is investigating an incident that took place between a student and teacher at Watervliet High School on Thursday, Superintendent Phillip Seager announced in a letter to families.
According to Seager, the incident was ended quickly by a School Resource Officer and the teacher was removed from the classroom.
A substitute was placed in the class for the rest of the day.
No student or staff member was hurt during the incident.
The teacher involved has been placed on administrative leave during the investigation.
