West, Texas paramedic to plead not guilty to charges

WEST, Texas -- A paramedic in West, Texas was arrested for possessing materials to make a pipe bomb.

Bryce Reed will plead not guilty Wednesday at a federal court hearing, according to his lawyer.

ATF agents went to his in-laws home in Waco and interviewed his wife Friday.

His close friend spoke out on his arrest.

"Never acting out or anything crazy," said Matt Chrest, suspect's friend. "He's a good paramedic, good husband, and good father."

Police say Reed is not linked to the fertilizer plant explosion.
