Western Avenue closure extended to February 13

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – A portion of Western Avenue will remain closed until Thursday, February 13 as crews work on repairing a sanitary sewer service line.

The closure was initially expected to last until Wednesday, February 12 but the city extended the reopening date until February 13.

Western Avenue will be closed down from Iowa Street to Lake Street.

Motorists will be detoured onto Sheridan and Olive Streets via Sample Street.
