What's cookin': South Bend restaurants compete in chili cook-off

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- On Thursday, seven South Bend restaurants put their chili recipes to the test!

Saint Paul's Catholic Church held its annual "Chili Cook-Off" Thursday afternoon.

So, who has the best?

"It's a great thing to have, and it's fun to try everything, but it's hard to make up your mind,” said Mary Ellis.

"The Chili Cook-off is good. It is very popular, and they have a good turnout here,” said Sophie Brooks.

The Firehouse Award went to Martin's Supermarket. Trios earned an honorable mention, and the People's Choice went to the in-house chef.
