Where to go for the Notre Dame, 'Bama watch parties!
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- You don't have to be in Miami to feel the excitement!
Fans who are not making the trip down south will have plenty of ways to celebrate right here in Michiana. Several area businesses are capitalizing on the Fighting Irish's undefeated season with watch parties.
A lot of people are pretty upset that they cannot watch this game in the comfort of their own home. It's not airing on any basic cable channel, it is only on ESPN, which leaves some Irish faithful with nowhere to go but the nearest watch party.
"Obviously we already feel it, it's in our blood -- we're Irish," said Salsa's Mexican Grill bartender Rachel Allberry.
Salsa's Mexican Grill in Mishawaka is just one of many businesses already prepping for the big match up.
"We have been having our phone ringing like crazy saying if we have reservations available, so that there is open seating so they can get a seat to watch the game."
The restaurant is offering Irish fans the next best thing, a seat in front of their giant projector screens that can be seen from their upstairs bar.
"It will be 99 cent margaritas and 99 cent draft beers. We also have, throughout the entire restaurant, TVs that will be airing the game as well."
Salsa's says it their way of giving back to the community and their loyal Irish fans.
"Everybody is excited, how can you not be? They are undefeated and it's just amazing so good for this community."
Salsa's is just one of many watch parties happening on Monday.
The Linebacker will be one to draw a large crowd in South Bend, along with the Four Horsemen Brewery in South Bend, which will have two big projector screens.
The Lerner Theater is also having a watch party, giving Elkhart Irish fans an option close to home.
