The Potawatomi Zoo announced a white-faced saki monkey was born on August 11.

The baby was born to monkey pair Ella and Marcelo. Its gender is not yet known.

Zoo officials said this is Ella's second baby and Marcelo's first, the zoo said.

The white-faced saki monkeys are part of The Association of Zoos and Aquariums species survival plan (SSP), and this was a recommended birth, zoo officials said.

While normally in the Learning Center, the white faced saki moneys are behind the scenes so the baby won't be visible to the public.
