Quiet evening, Stormy overnight
Multiple bands of light lake effect snow have already set up early this morning, although the development of a heavier main band initializes later this morning. By the lake, expect a morning commute with patches of near whiteout conditions and widespread slick roads. A winter weather advisory remains in effect for St. Joseph (IN), Berrien, Cass, and northern La Porte Counties until tonight. The heaviest snow likely falls Benton Harbor in between Cassopolis and the city of LaPorte. Lake effect snow showers last until tonight, making the evening commute inconvenient as well. Lows bottom out in the mid teens late tonight but surge near 30 degrees tomorrow with the weekend looking warmer and sunnier than this week.
Today: Lake effect snow. High 24.
Tonight: Lake effect snow showers. Low 14.
Friday: Mostly sunny. High 27.
Saturday: Mostly sunny. High 30.
