Widespread early afternoon storms and showers

Rain likely today for most of Michiana, with a wetter-than-hoped Notre Dame home opener expected. Rain starts in the morning and widespread showers continue into the early afternoon. Most rain chances clear for central Michiana by 3pm, however the western portions of the area could continue to see some stormy conditions. Expect a rumble of thunder or two through the tailgate, but the game itself should stay dry, a stray shower cannot be ruled out however. Rain chances dwindle overnight, and tomorrow is dry and hot once again. Highs are expected to be in the upper 80s to start the week, some areas could see the 90s. Temperatures drop into next weekend, with another round of rain expected going into Friday, and we will likely see more "football weather" for the next home game, though temperatures will likely still be warm, in the mid 70s.

Today: Widespread showers and storms, then scattered storms in the afternoon. High 78.
Tonight:  Lingering showers, warm. Low 62
Sunday: Hot, some clouds. High 86.
Monday: Hot, abundant sunshine. High 88.
