MIAMI COUNTY, Ind. - South Bend mayoral candidate Will Smith, was back in court Thursday afternoon in Miami County.
Thursday's hearing was a pre-trial for Smith, he is facing a level six felony charge for theft.
According to the probable cause affidavit, on January 27 at 7:31 a.m., a 2019 Forest River travel trailer valued at $18,700 was taken from RV Dynasty in Miami County.
At the hearing, Smith, along with his attorney Gary Griner, pleaded not guilty.
ABC 57 caught Smith in the hallways after court and asked Smith was he still running for South Bend Mayor.
"No comment," Smith said.
Judge Daniel Baniana scheduled the next hearing for May 16 at 11:00 a.m.
