Will South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg run for DNC chair?

Rumors are beginning to fly about Mayor Pete Buttigieg possibly running for DNC chair.

According to an article published by Politico Tuesday evening, high level democratic sources say Mayor Pete is "testing the waters for a run."

The article states if Buttigieg runs, he will be "the fourth declared candidate in the DNC race."

Even though Buttigieg cares about the future of the country, the Communications Director of South Bend says the mayor’s immediate attention is focused here in Michiana. 

Right now the mayor is focused on serving the City of South Bend. He has been listening and talking to fellow local and state leaders about the future of our country and the Democratic Party at a natural time for these conversations to happen.
