WINAMAC, Ind. -- The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office reports deputies responded to reports of a sexual assault at a storage unit near the Pulaski County Recycling Center on March 28.

Authorities say the suspect, identified as Charles Dubois of Winamac, has been arrested and is preliminarily charged with Rape, a Level 3 Felony.

The victim was initially treated as Pulaski Memorial Hospital before being taken to an out-of-county medical facility for a forensic examination.

The victim told deputies that Dubois, an acquaintance, committed sexual acts on them after being told to stop multiple times.

Dubois was later contacted the same evening by investigators.

The report states Dubois then voluntarily accompanied deputies to the PCSO for an interview.

Investigators say based on statements and evidence obtained, Dubois was taken into custody and brought to the Pulaski County Jail.

The investigation is ongoing, and more evidence is being processed, including forensic analysis and digital evidence.
