Windy, rainy Thursday; sunny streak starts Friday

NOW: Windy, rainy Thursday; sunny streak starts Friday
NEXT:

It's going to be breezy Thursday with two lines of rain/storms. Wind gusts 35+ mph are possible, even outside of the rain and storms.

Clouds are moving into the area early this morning, but it should stay dry for your commute.

Rain begins to move into the northwest portion of Michiana around 10 a.m., then the line continues to push to the southeast across all of our area. Downpours and a few rumbles of thunder are possible in addition to gusty winds. The severe risk for this line remains low.

There is a bit of dry time through the afternoon, then a second line develops around the time of the evening commute. This line does have a low severe risk, which will be impacted based on intensity of first round of storms.

Temperatures are in the mid 70s today.

With the storms and wind, there is a high swim risk (red flag) on Lake Michigan, so stay out of the water.

The forecast is quieter tonight after rain ends and the wind calms.

Friday is sunny with highs in the mid 70s. We'll continue our sunny streak through the weekend into early next week.

Temperatures will warm a few degrees each day, with a 90 degree day possible Monday.

Today: Breezy. Periods of rain/storms. High 76.

Tonight: Mostly clear. Low 57.

Friday: Sunny. High 74.

Saturday: Sunny. High 82.
