Windy with falling temperatures Monday

Bundle up to start the week: it’s windy with falling temperatures today. This morning’s temperatures are in the low 30s, but they will continue to fall into the upper 20s this afternoon.

Wind gusts 35-40 mph are possible, which means the wind chill will likely be in the teens through the afternoon.

A few lake effect flurries are possible today, especially in our northeast counties (Cass and St. Joe Counties in Michigan, plus LaGrange County in Indiana). Some minor accumulation in grassy areas is possible, otherwise, flurries’ impact looks low.

Tonight will be even colder, with a low in the upper teens and wind chills Tuesday morning in the single digits.

Wind settles down a bit by Tuesday, but temperatures will stay below the freezing mark. Temperatures continue to warm a few degrees each day this week.

There is a chance for a few snow showers Tuesday overnight, but impact looks low. Thursday is a rainy day, with additional rain/snow chances Friday night into the weekend.

Today: Windy and cold. Lake effect flurries. Falling temperatures into the mid 20s by afternoon.

Tonight: Breezy and cold. Mostly cloudy. Wind chills in the single digits. Low 18.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy and cold. High 28.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy. High 33.
