Winter weather leaves thousands in Michiana without power

MICHIANA – Thousands of residents in southwest Michigan and northern Indiana are without power this morning, as strong winter weather conditions knocked out the power in many homes last night.

Indiana-Michigan Power is reporting over 30,000 homes without electricity in our Indiana counties, a majority of them in South Bend.

As of right now, it is not clear when power will be restored to these homes.
