Wintry mix early today, turning to rain by afternoon
This morning you’ll likely wake up to a cold rain or wet snowflakes. The best chance to see any accumulating snowfall is in eastern Michiana, but even then there is likely just a trace amount accumulating on grassy areas. Some elevated roads could be slippery if you are driving this morning, and visibility might be reduced due to snow and a little bit of fog. Take it slow and leave plenty of room between you and the car in front of you if you are heading out. If you're staying indoors today, it looks like a good day for a family movie marathon or for catching up on chores around the house.
The good news is that as temperatures warm later this morning, the precipitation will turn back to rain. This should assist with melting any snow/icy spots from the early morning. Rain will wrap up by this evening. Overnight is dry and mostly cloudy, with temperatures falling into the mid 30s. You won’t need an umbrella as you head out the door on Monday, but you will need to wear plenty of warm layers. Tuesday and Wednesday are rainy this week, but good news for Turkey Day: Thanksgiving is partly sunny and dry with temperatures warming near 50 degrees.
