Woman accused of faking cancer appears in court

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. — An Illinois woman who allegedly faked cancer to steal made her first appearance in court.
Jennifer Pauley appeared at her preliminary hearing on Wednesday.
She faces a long list of charges including identity theft and forgery.
Investigators say she used her husband's personal information to open credit cards, write checks and steal more than $10,000.
Her next court appearance is Sept. 20.
