Woman arrested in connection with stabbing on Lathrop

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend Police have arrested a woman in connection with a stabbing that happened Wednesday night.

Police responded to the 2100 block of W. Lathrop around 10 p.m. and found two women with puncture wounds.

One had a wound below the eye and the other a wound to the chest.

They both declined medical treatment.

The two women are related.

Police arrested 43-year-old Treasa Shorter on preliminary charges of domestic battery, aggravated battery and intimidation.

The case will be forwarded to the prosecutor's office for review.
