Woman found dead in Taco Bell restroom

A woman was found dead in the women's restroom of the Taco Bell at 221 W. LaSalle Avenue in downtown South Bend Tuesday morning.
South Bend Police and the South Bend Fire Department responded to a call of a man who locked himself in the women's restroom of the Taco Bell around 11 a.m., according to Captain Robert Hammer of the South Bend Police Department.
When they got the door open, they discovered it was a woman inside the restroom, not a man. The woman was deceased, according to Captain Hammer.
The case has been handed over to the coroner's office.
