Woman found dead in Wabash River identified

TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. — The woman who was found dead in her submerged car in the Wabash River has been identified. The AP reports that the victim is 24-year-old Alicia Smidler of St. Joseph, Mich.
Smidler just graduated from Purdue University this year.
The Tippecanoe County Sheriff's office says Smidler drove left of center and overcorrected before running off the road.
Her car was found Friday morning in the Wabash River.
