SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The visitation and funeral service for 60-year old Vicky Long is scheduled for Wednesday night at Hanley and Sons Funeral Home on State Road 23 in South Bend.

Long and her 2 small dogs died when her car was struck by a train. Police believe she drove her car around the crossing arms.

It happened Sunday morning around 7:45 a.m. at the Norfolk Southern Railroad crossing on Quince Road just south of Edison Road in St. Joseph County.

Police say it appeared all the warnings were working properly at the time of the crash.

The visitation will be held at Hanley and Sons Funeral Home's Southwest Chapel from 4-6 p.m., with the funeral service following immediately after.

There will be another memorial for family and friends on a later date.
