Woman passes away after early morning crash in St. Joseph

ST. JOSEPH, Mich.—One woman died following an early morning crash in St. Joseph, Michigan on Tuesday.

Officers responded to an injury crash around 4:38 a.m. at Port St. and Wayne St.

Once on scene, officers found a single vehicle that had left the road and struck a tree.

The occupant of the car, 28-year-old Ashley Rae Grubb, from Berrien Springs, was seriously injured and required extrication from the vehicle.

Grubb was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced deceased.

The Berrien County Sheriff’s Department is withholding the victim’s name until family can be notified.
