SOUTH BEND, Ind.—A 35-year-old woman was injured in a shooting late Wednesday night, according to South Bend Police.
Officers responded to the 1200 block of W. Washington around 11:20 p.m. on Wednesday for a ShotSpotter activation.
Officers were then notified of a 35-year-old woman with a wound to the abdomen.
The woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment of the non-life threatening wound.
During the investigation, officers learned the victim was inside of her home when she heard gunfire outside. She then felt pain and called 911.
