SOUTH BEND, Ind.—A 35-year-old woman was injured in a shooting late Wednesday night, according to South Bend Police.

Officers responded to the 1200 block of W. Washington around 11:20 p.m. on Wednesday for a ShotSpotter activation.

Officers were then notified of a 35-year-old woman with a wound to the abdomen.

The woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment of the non-life threatening wound.

During the investigation, officers learned the victim was inside of her home when she heard gunfire outside. She then felt pain and called 911.

Gee golly gosh! Another shooting in PeteY kingdom! Shootings are so common, the don't even make top bill. and at least 1 local morning News broadcast....not a peep. It was like it was a "22"! Real quiet! Shhhhh…
