Woman stabbed in the face and back

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - A woman was stabbed in the face and back Saturday morning on the city's west side.

The stabbing happened around 4 a.m.

The stabbing was reported at 606 South Kaley Street.

Officers told ABC 57 News that the 20-year-old woman was stabbed in the face and back.

It was not immediately known if anyone was arrested in connection to the stabbing or what lead up to it.

Memorial Hospital was placed on lockdown when the victim was brought to the emergency room.

A supervisor with the South Bend Police Department told us that the victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.
