Woman suffers non-life threatening gunshot wound to the leg

ELKHART, Ind. --A woman suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the leg while at an apartment complex on Bradford Court early Sunday morning, according to Elkhart Police. 

Police were called to the 3400 block of Bradford Court at 1:30 a.m. for reports of a shooting with injuries at apartment C.

When police arrived, the door to the apartment was open, but no one was inside.

Police then learned a woman went to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg. She said she was shot while walking into the apartment by an unknown person, reports said.

Around noon the same day, police were called to the same apartment building, for reports of a hole in the window of apartment A. Police said it was related to the earlier shooting.
