Woman tries to make history trying out for NFL team

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- One woman is breaking the sports glass ceiling. Lauren Silberman will become the first female ever to try out for the NFL.

On Sunday, the New York native is kicking at an NFL regional combine at the Jets facility in hopes to get an invite to an NFL training camp.

"What Lauren is trying to do is something that's incredibly admirable, shows her comfort level, her love of sports. And that statement should reverberate throughout the United States," said ABC News sports consultant Christine Brennan.

The 28-year-old is a University of Wisconsin and MIT graduate. She played club soccer in college.
