Women show off strength for a good cause

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Break out the hammer and nails!   Friday, a group of women showed off their strength, all for a good cause.

The Habitat for Humanity Women’s Build wrapped up on Friday afternoon in South Bend.

The women broke ground on the Irving Street home in January, and have spent the past nine months building it from the ground up.

The chairman of the build, Babette Zielinski, told ABC 57 that it’s been an exciting collaboration of women from all walks of life.

Zielinski also added, “We like to say we take homemaking to a whole new level, because it is about building community amongst ourselves, community within the neighborhoods."

A Habitat for Humanity Restore Build also wrapped up this week.

Both houses will be blessed on Saturday morning.
