MISHAWAKA, Ind. – Reconstruction work begins Tuesday on a section of E. Jefferson Boulevard, the City of Mishawaka announced. The work is part of the city’s 2022 Community Crossing Project.

Work begins at 6 a.m. on Tuesday between Cedar Street and Byrkit Avenue.

Construction includes the addition of new concrete curbs, drive approaches, lane reductions, storm inlet relocations, and a new pathway on the north side of the street.

N. Byrkit Avenue will also be milled and resurfaced between Jefferson and LaSalle Avenue.

East and west traffic will be maintained during the work.

The project has an anticipated end date of September 30.
