Workers to blame for week-long shutdown at Palisades Nuclear Power Plant

COVERT TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- Workers are to blame for a week-long shutdown at Palisades Nuclear Power Plant!

That is according to a report from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

The VanBuren County plant shut down in September.

After metal inside a breaker panel touched and caused a short circuit.

The NRC said workers and supervisors did not follow proper safety procedures.

The Associated Press said that the plant will take action based on the NRC's recommendations.
