Wrestling returns to South Bend, Saturday

Professional wrestling returns "Back to the Bend", when Warrior Wrestling takes over Bendix Arena in South Bend, Saturday at 7pm.

People will have the chance to meet the wrestlers before of the show during Fan Fest from 4:30 to 6:30pm. Tickets start at $25 for general admission. Kids get in free, but still need to order a ticket.

"You get to see wrestling you've never seen before," Warrior Wrestling World Champion KC Navarro told ABC57. "They bring in the best wrestlers in the world, from all over the world. The lucha guys, the superheavyweights, the blessed cruiserweights like myself."

It's a family-friendly event, featuring current and former stars from WWE, NXT, and AEW; including Buddy Matthews, who will face Navarro for the championship.

"There is nothing [KC Navarro] cannot do inside the squared circle," Navarro's manager 'Frank the Clown' said. "He has unbelievable athleticism. He has charisma coming out of every pour in his body that other men and women wished and begged they had."

The Chicago-based wrestling promotion, founded by Notre Dame alumni Steve Tortorello, has already hosted two events in South Bend. KC Navarro has promised a special announcement on this third visit.

"It's the place to be on this level of professional wrestling. On the independent level, Warrior Wrestling is number one," Navarro said.

Warrior Wrestling: Back to the Bend is this Saturday, January 21, at 7pm. Tickets are available on WarriorWrestling.net
