YMCA of Greater Michiana to host 40th annual Thanksgiving Day Run

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. – Trot your way to the finish line and make room for your turkey dinner this Thanksgiving. The YMCA of Greater Michiana is hosting its 40th annual Thanksgiving Day Run both in-person and virtually on Nov. 25.

The Thanksgiving Day Run is a long-standing tradition for the Y. They are offering races for all skill levels: a 10K run, a 5K run and walk and a 1-Mile Fun Run.

In-person events will take place in from of the Nile-Buchanan YMCA, located at 905 N Front St., Niles, Mich., 49120. The 10K run is set to start at 7:45 am, and the 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run will start at 9:15 am.

Virtual attendees can run or walk their events anywhere they would like – in neighborhoods, parks or on a treadmill. They can participate from Nov. 25 to Dec. 5.

Virtual runners can upload their run information to an online race platform and are encouraged to post on social media with the hashtag #2021TDR.

Registration is open now through Nov. 23. It cost $35 to sign up per person - $30 per person for households with two or more participants.

Late registration is open on Nov. 24 and 25 and is $40.
