Zimmerman legal team seeks 'stand your ground' hearing

George Zimmerman's legal team is seeking a hearing under Florida's "stand your ground" law.

It could clear Zimmerman of his 2nd degree murder charge in the death of Trayvon Martin.

Zimmerman said he shot the unarmed 17-year-old in self-defense.

It happened back in February.

Zimmerman said Martin attacked him.

Florida's "stand your ground" law allows the use of deadly force, if necessary.

If the judge decides that "stand your ground" applies, the case could be dismissed and Zimmerman could get immunity under the law.
