Ellie Fideli, Multimedia Journalist
After growing up in Hingham, Massachusetts, Ellie Fideli earned a bachelor's degree in Film and Video Production with a concentration in Sports Studies from Purdue University, where she was a three-time Job-Ready Scholarship recipient. She went on to complete her master's degree in Broadcast Journalism at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. During her collegiate career, Ellie produced live events for the Big Ten Network, hosted an in-depth interview show, and completed production internships with the Chicago Cubs on Marquee Sports Network and Channel 7 WHDH-TV in Boston.
Ellie comes to South Bend with extensive reporting and broadcast experience. At Medill Reports and CAN-TV Channel 21’s Chicago This Week, she worked as an on-air reporter and multimedia journalist, sourcing, filming, and editing original packages. She is passionate about covering daily news and general assignment stories. Earlier in her career, she also served as the Broadcast Director Intern for the Falmouth Commodores in the Cape Cod Baseball League, managing live production, camera crews, and on-air operations.
Outside of work, Ellie enjoys playing soccer, staying active, needlepointing, and boating, as well as spending time in Cape Cod with her family in the summer.
Ellie is excited to be part of the Michiana community and bring compelling news and community stories to viewers across the region.
