SOUTH BEND, Ind.--- Indiana’s new sports betting legislation is expected to bring in more revenue to the state. Officials believe this bill could add bring in hundreds of jobs to the state.
With this legislation, Indiana becomes the ninth state to pass sports gambling measures since the
US Supreme Court ruled on the measure last year.
“Nine percent of visitors to the state of Indiana are casino visitors so we think that this provision will only increase that,” said Rob Decleene, Executive Director of Visit South Bend – Mishawaka.
The bill also allows for mobile gambling in addition to giving Terra Haute the ability to operate a casino.
