10-year-old hit by vehicle while riding bike in Elkhart County

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. – A 10-year-old was hit by a vehicle while riding a bike on County Road 42 Tuesday, the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office reported.
A woman reported being involved in a crash between a passenger car and bicycle around 6:16 a.m.
The crash occurred on C.R. 42 west of C.R. 3.
According to the report, the eastbound passenger car rear-ended the eastbound bicycle.
The 10-year-old riding the bike was flown to the hospital for head, neck, and other internal injuries.
