Two vehicle crash in Elkhart county leaves one injured

ELKHART, Ind. -- The Elkhart Sheriff's Department responded to a two vehicle crash at approximately 8:48 a.m. Saturday morning. The driver of the first vehicle a 2015 Kia Sorento was traveling west on C.R 20 approaching the intersection of C.R 7.
The driver of the second vehicle a 2006 Acura MDX was traveling on C.R 7 south when he stopped at the intersection attempting to turn east on to C.R 20. The driver of the Acura MDX entered to the intersection and the driver of the Kia disregarded the flashing red lights and entered the intersection.
The driver of the Kia struck the second vehicle. Both the driver and the passenger of the first vehicle were transported to Elkhart General Hospital for complaints of pain.
The driver of the Kia was cited for never receiving a license and disregarding a lighted signal.
