NOW: Young girl in stable condition after shooting in South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - A juvenile girl is in stable condition after being shot in the 500 block of Birdsell Street Tuesday afternoon, according to the South Bend Police Department.

Police were called to the area at 1:30 p.m.

The South Bend Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit is investigating.
