15-year-old singer and songwriter EmiSunshine to perform in Goshen

GOSHEN, Ind.—15-year-old singer/ songwriter EmiSunshine is set to perform in Goshen on Friday night.

The Tennessee based singer was live on ABC57 News on Friday morning ahead of the concert to discuss her career and her trip to Michiana.

Rolling Stone has previously referred to EmiSunshine as “one of the 10 new country artists to watch,” and her most recent album “Family Wars” has received reviews in multiple industry magazines.

The album touches on serious issues like domestic violence, political corruption, freedom in America and more.

“We live in a world that is filled with those types of topics. As a 15-year-old, I don’t have a lot to draw from about my own life, so I just kind of find inspiration from around the world,” EmiSunshine said.

In December, the singer, who started writing songs with her mother when she was 5-years-old, received a prestigious award for her music, the ASCAP Foundation Desmond Child Anthem Award.

EmiSunshine will perform at Ignition Music Garage on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
